Leading smart kitchen appliance brand, United States came to Armakuni for aI-powered cook time prediction and AI-assisted recipe generation for smart kitchen appliances.

The challenge

Armakuni's Gen AI CoE identified Chefman as a CPG brand where LLM-based reasoning could replace expensive custom ML for a real product problem. The CTO's personal experience as a Chefman product user established immediate credibility. The first engagement was offered as a zero-cost AWS Demo Squad POC; it closed in two weeks. The Recipe Assistant POV followed as a paid engagement signed January 2026.

Scale: Consumer kitchen appliance brand with product lineup spanning air fryers, blenders, electric kettles, smart thermometers, and intelligent multicookers. Chefman and ChefIQ brands serve home chefs across the US..

What we built

Armakuni delivered aI-powered cook time prediction and AI-assisted recipe generation for smart kitchen appliances. The engagement ran as phase 1: Zero-cost AWS Demo Squad POC. Phase 2: Fixed-scope SOW, Recipe Assistant POV. AWS funded the work at $6,368.

The outcomes

4 measurable outcomes shipped across the engagement. The ones that moved the business the most:

Cook time prediction validated as a viable LLM capability without custom ML infrastructure. with a working Streamlit prototype demonstrating real-time prediction accuracy and the stabilization point identified. The ChefIQ product team now has a clear signal to build the feature into the app.

Recipe extraction from social media video is reduced from hours of manual editorial effort per recipe to minutes of automated processing. with the agent handling transcription, extraction, and structuring end to end so the content team's role becomes review rather than creation.

A new recipe library for the Minioven product line now has a scalable production path. with recipe customization and generation adding the ability to adapt and create content at the speed the product roadmap requires.

First AWS Demo Squad engagement secured sign-off within two weeks through a zero-cost POC offer and a clear delivery plan.. It proves Armakuni's ability to build trust quickly with a new enterprise account and move from conversation to contract faster than the standard sales cycle.

We were impressed by Armakuni’s level of engagement and the personal attention we received throughout the entire project. Their regular updates, demos, and willingness to brainstorm made it clear how invested they were in the work. It was enlightening to see their process and approach. Not only were they enthusiastic about the technical challenges of the problem, but they also constantly kept the end user experience in mind. Overall, it has been a pleasure working with Armakuni!
